NIGHT LIFE

DISCOTHEQUES

The Discotheques in Brittany are normally friendly places and almost trouble free, dress is casual (don't wear shirt & tie or you'll be the odd one out) & the price normally includes your first drink. Take care though as subsequent drinks can be expensive at between 35F & 60F for a small beer. Getting to discotheques can be sometimes be quite difficult without a car as many of them are located in the countryside, outside of the towns & villages. DON'T DRINK & DRIVE, the police are hot on drink driving in Brittany & set up road blocks nearly every Saturday night near all the discotheques. Most discotheques are open from 11.00pm until 05.00am.

CAFE-CONCERTS

There are hundreds of cafe-concerts in Brittany, all of which have live music from Breton Rock to Reggae every weekend they are mainly trouble free & friendly although a little noisy, but well worth a visit. Entrance is around 35F & drinks are at normal bar prices, around 12F for a small beer.

FEST NOZ

Traditional Breton dances organised locally & held in village or town halls, very popular & usually very friendly (probably because of the vast quantities of alcohol consumed!).

Well worth a visit.
Dates & times are displayed in bars.
