Description The LONGHOUSE and the SHORTHOUSE are family run Self Catering Gîtes in Southern Brittany with a large new heated swimming pool, boules court, short tennis and badminton areas. Comfortable and affordable with lots of traditional French character. Ideal for families or couples. Each gîte is individual in size and layout but all have oak beamed lounge/dining rooms and are fully furnished ­ each featuring a wood burning stove. Kitchen areas are well equipped and are supplied with all the necessary cutlery, crockery and cooking implements. Each has a shower room with wash basin and WC. There is a laundry room on site. Outside, every gîte has its own private area with table, chairs and a barbecue. There is also a large grassed communal area with trees and ample, safe parking. THE LONGHOUSE is a Breton longére comprising four self-contained gites sleeping 2, 4 or 6 people. THE SHORTHOUSE, newly renovated for the 2005 season, provides flexible accommodation as either 2 individual gîtes for couples, or interconnects to sleep 4 people in 2 bedrooms. These two gîtes also benefit from electric radiators making them suitable for autumn and winter lettings.

Area Situated in the peaceful rural village of Kermaux near Pontivy, we are in an ideal position for exploring much of Brittany. 3 miles away is Pluméliau offering supermarkets, bakers, petrol station, banks, doctors and chemists plus sports facilities. The larger market towns of Pontivy, Baud and Locminé are within 15 ­ 20 minutes¹ drive and offer a comprehensive range of services, bars, restaurants, weekly markets and tourist activity and recreation. 40 minutes' easy drive will get you to the Gulf of Morbihan and superb beaches. There is a wealth of history ­ natural and archaeological. Interesting towns abound. There are river excursions, swimming, fishing, canoeing, good cycling and walking routes (bikes can be hired locally). With the addition of excellent restaurants and creperies, we think you will have a great time!

Additional Information.Prices include electricity, water and gas. There is a small charge for wood. We provide all bed linen, towels (except beach towels), kitchen towels etc. We regret no pets allowed. Telephone bookings will be held for 8 days to allow a completed booking form and 25% non-refundable deposit cheque to reach us. The balance is due 8 weeks before the arrival date together with a refundable damages and cleaning deposit of £100. More information and brochures are available on request.
